This Month’s Runner Up: January 2016 Blog Income Report – 391 Views – 19 Comments
This month went very well. Overall, I improved on everything blog related in the last month which is quite exciting considering I took a vacation from my blog for the last week of the month. I can’t believe I’ve increased all of my stats with only working 75% of the month!
This month, my main focus was working on Pinterest to try to gain more views and followers. I was able to join Pinterest for business, clean up my Pinterest boards, and am now consistently making Pinterest worthy images for each post.
This month I also made real money which is also quite exciting! You can find my past income statements here.
February 2016 Income Statement:
Revenue
Google Adsense – $153.53
Sponsored Posts – $2.00
Freelancing – $100.00
Total: $255.53
Expenses
Blogging Supplies: $6.00
Total: $6.00
NET INCOME: $249.53
This month, I increased my social following by 24%! This exponential growth is very exciting yet a bit overwhelming. But, overall, it’s fantastic!
Focus for Next Month
Next month, I am going to focus on my blog posts. I like to write a month’s worth of posts during the previous month. For example, I currently have all of this month’s posts written and scheduled, this being the last post I wrote. Staying ahead helps me to focus on growing my blog rather than struggling to maintain it. That being said, I am hoping to create a few great posts this month to use in future months.
These are some amazing tips! I normally write a week ahead but a month….that’s impressive.
OMG. I love this! I am going to do this. It is so great to look at it month to month. I am emailing this to myself to create a spreadsheet for myself. Thank you!
You’re welcome Heather! I live my life in spreadsheets haha.
This is fascinating. I keep a spreadsheet for my own blog – it was mostly for taxes but I’ve recently added social media and google analytics to it. Good for you doing so well!!
Curious how you decide what to blog about? When you’re writing for next month?
Hi Rachel. I post about three topics. Food, DIY, and Budgeting. The first week of the month I post an income report and the last week of the month I have a budgeting series that I continue on. For the weeks in the middle, I do one food and one diy post. If there are 5 weeks in the month, I’ll do a guest blogger or a roundup of some type.
How wonderful. I need to set better goals & keep better track of things. I keep a spreadsheet on just about every single other thing in my life, but not my blog. This motivated me to get organized. Thank you.
Nice to see someone rocking the adsense earnings ! great work!
Thanks! I have no idea why it’s working. I just go with it! 😉
You did awesome, Kari! Love that photo too! 🙂 It’s also so awesome that you already have all your posts for the month!
Thanks! It took a few tries to get the photo…the cat kept photo bombing. 🙂
Great job on your income Kari! I too just started using adsense but only have 79 cents earned so far:) It’s time I started a monthly goals and tracking sheet too. It’s nice to track successes:)
Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work!

You did great – especially with how much you’ve grown this month! Can’t wait to see what March has in store!
I love this Kari!! Once I get into a good blogging routine, I’ll be looking for help on starting to make a profit on my blog using Google AdSense and some of the other options. I know where I will be going for advice when that time comes!
Congratulations on a successful month! I’m sure March will be even better 🙂

Congrats on making a profit!

Whoa! Increasing your social by 24% is insanely awesome. In order to create growth, I’m working on growing my three largest traffic drivers this year as well as blog content. So far this year, it’s been working really well. And I have to say that it is also so awesome to track it month to month – makes it all so much more real. – Katy
