These rolls are delicious as rolls or even make them into Cinnamon Rolls! The dough is not quite as sweet as King’s as written (that’s how I like it). However, if you would like a sweeter dough, add an extra 2-4 tbsp of sugar. You’ll love these rolls!

King's Hawaiian Rolls Copy Cat
Cook Time 25 minutes
Servings 30 rolls

Ingredients
  

Proof

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp yeast

Add Remaining Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 3 cups warm water
  • 1/2 cup sugar Add extra for a sweeter roll. As written these are less sweet than King's.
  • 9-10 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Mix proofing ingredients and let proof until bubbly or it has risen in size
  • Add remaining ingredients and mix until a smooth dough forms
  • Let the dough rise for 1-2 hours. (This can be sped up by using a warmer area)
  • Preheat oven to 375°
  • Shape dough into 40g rolls
  • Bake at 375° for 20-35 minutes
