A few years ago I came across the Teal Pumpkin Project while searching online.  The Teal Pumpkin Project is a way for neighbors to show that they provide treats for all children including children with food allergies.

Placing a Teal Pumpkin on your front porch on the night of Trick-or-Treating shows that you have treats that are not only food products.  Some ideas include spider rings, tattoos, stickers, and other fun trinkets that children love.

This project was especially important to me because for over five years I had a ‘mystery diagnosis’ so to speak and I was unable to eat anything milk related.  It was so severe that I couldn’t even eat something that had been touched by a utensil that had also touched any milk product.

My mystery has been solved and now I am happily back to normal, but not everybody is so lucky.

For the kiddos who don’t have a choice and have nut, milk, gluten, or any other allergies, the Teal Pumpkin project is a great way to show your support and offer them their treat on Halloween!

I am in no way affiliated with the Teal Pumpkin Project but here is their link if you want more info!
