Home Made Freezer Waffles

Welcome back to the blog!  A

By now, you all know how much I like to have ready made food around the house.   This is one of my favorites.

I love making waffles in large quantities and freezing them in individual packages so they are easy to grab.

You can make these either with a box recipe or your own.  I used the Krusteauz Belgium Waffle box mix for mine.

Be sure to get a big enough bowl!  I almost spilled because my bowl was too small.  I made the entire batch of batter, put on some music, and started cooking.

All together, it took about an hour but now I’m able to grab waffles any time I want them.  Just pop them in the toaster, flip, and toast again.

I chose to put three waffles together when I wrapped them.  Next time, I may only put two because three is a bit too much for me with the homemade waffles.

Super Simple Teriyaki Beef

Welcome back to the blog!  Today I have a super easy and quick recipe for you.

All you need are the four basic ingredients and your choice of spices.

Teriyaki Sauce

I wasn’t kidding when I said this is easy.  Cook the rice per the instructions on the bag or box.

While the rice is cooking, cut up the strips of beef and cook on the stove.  Add any spices you desire.

Also, steam some broccoli in the microwave.

At this point, you are rocking multitasking!

Once the beef is fully cooked, pour some teriyaki sauce over the beef.  I switch teriyaki sauce every time I buy it.  Choose whichever brand you like!

Once the teriyaki sauce has warmed and you’re rice/broccoli is cooked, you are ready to put the meal together.

Just add some of each to a bowl and eat with your favorite chopsticks!  Enjoy!

Summer Breakfast Favs

Summer Breakfast Favs

It’s beginning to feel a lot like SUMMER!  I am so excited about summer breakfasts!  Of course, we eat breakfast year round but in the summer it just seems a lot more fun and like there’s a lot more energy involved in making breakfast.  Here are four of my favorite breakfasts to make in the summer.

Sausage Egg Muffin

Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Muffin

This one is great for when you’re craving the fast food breakfast but decide against it.  All you do is toast the English muffin, fry up an egg, and microwave some pre-cooked breakfast sausage and throw it all together.  I also zap it in the microwave for a few to melt the cheese.

French Toast and FruitFrench Toast

I’m not a big fan of syrup so instead, I add some powdered sugar to my french toast and dip it into whipped cream.  Usually the banana is in the same bite. 🙂  Did anyone else just emphasize the ‘Whip’ (whowip) haha?  I can’t seem to say anything with the ‘wh’ without emphasizing anymore.  I also love frozen berries so blackberries it is this time. 🙂

Berry Pancakes

Mini Fruit Pancakes

Once again, I’m not a big syrup fan but adding some fresh fruit and whipped cream always does the trick. 🙂  I also like mini pancakes better than regular sized pancakes.  I know it makes no difference but they are so much better!

Memaw’s Psst RollsPsst Rolls

These favs have been in the family for a long time.  They got their name because they are made from the rolls in the containers that are terrifying to open because of that ‘pop’.  I actually prefer the Kroger brand for these rather than Pillsburry because they don’t puff up as much and are a bit smaller.  Just squish a roll into an oval, dip in butter, then dip into a cinnamon and sugar mixture.  Give the roll one twist and set on a cookie sheet.  Bake and then enjoy the magic!  These are a very cheap way to make breakfast too!

What are your favorite summer breakfasts?
