In this laundry motivation video, I’m back with another round of laundry after my last laundry video was so well received by all of you! I’m tackling two loads today and taking you along with me while I wash, dry, fold, and put everything away. I love these videos because they’re so relatable – we all have laundry to do, so if I’m going to do it anyway, why not film it and motivate others at the same time? I also ask you all what it is about laundry videos that keeps you watching. For me, it’s the relatability factor – unlike highly produced TV shows, YouTube content feels real and authentic. I share a little tip about hanging clothes the way I learned in retail (hangers over to the left so everything faces the same direction), and I talk about how I prefer folding laundry on my bed when my closet is near my bedroom. It’s a quick and easy laundry day, and hopefully it motivates you to tackle your own pile!

Hey everyone, welcome back. I’m Kari and this is Keep It Simple DIY, and I have another laundry motivation video. I was very excited to see that my last laundry video was well received by all of you, so thank you for that. And I am going to be making another one because really, we all have laundry, right? And if I’m going to do my laundry, I might as well film it for you.
Question for you: what’s something about laundry videos that you really like and that keeps you watching? I found that I like watching them, and I think it’s just, it’s nice to be able to relate to people. I see people doing laundry, I’m like, yep, I do that too. I do find that with TV shows and such, it’s hard to relate because they’re so produced, but YouTube’s a whole different story. So I’m interested with everybody else, what about laundry videos interests you so much?
I only have two loads today to do, so it should be pretty quick and easy. And I’ve already got one of them washed and dried, and then this is my second load. It’s going in the dryer now, so we should be off to a pretty good start. It’s still really early in the morning. I’m getting this one going.
You’ll be happy to know that I figured out what all of this black on my makeup vanity is from. It’s actually from one of my mascaras, not my eyeliner. It’s this one, it’s the Essence Lash Princess. I think it’s just because it was old and almost out. It was like flaking off. I did like the mascara up until it was doing that.
I have switched so many times over the years for what I like to do, and I’ve definitely found that when my closet is not near my bedroom, I definitely don’t like taking my laundry all the way to the bedroom to do it. And when the closet is near the bedroom, I like to do it on the bed.
Do you put your hangers on a certain way? When I was younger, I used to work in retail, and it was always you put your hanger over to the left, so when you hang it on the shelf, everything is facing the same direction and over to the left with the clothing facing out. So I still do that to this day.
