We have another Ninja product to review. This is my favorite Ninja product that we own. We’ve had it for over five years, and we use it every single day. This video is not sponsored in any way. I’m not affiliated with Ninja, but I genuinely love this product. So let’s get into it. This is the Ninja DualBrew Pro Coffee Maker, and I did so much research before I bought this thing. Let me tell you a little bit about my journey to getting here and what led me to this coffee maker and then why I love it so much.
So I, of course, had tried the Keurigs and all of the off-brands, and something that was really important to me was that I wanted to be able to have both single-serve and multi-serve at once. So I wanted to be able to do either just a mug or a full pot of coffee, which is funny because now we don’t even use full pots of coffee anymore, but we used to quite often. It was like weekends we would use a full pot of coffee. Throughout the week, we would do single serves. So that’s the kind of coffee maker that I needed.
So we did, of course, the Keurig that had both. We did the Hamilton Beach, we did all of the different options, and they would break in about a year—every single one of them. And so we kept going through and through. At that time, there was actually an influencer who I was following who was also looking for a coffee maker. And so she asked her audience what kind to get, and everyone said a Ninja. So I saw her get one—not this one, but a similar one—and she loved it. So I was like, “All right, everybody says this is good in her comments. She tried it. I watched her try it. Let’s spend the money because these are a little bit more pricey, and let’s just hope that it works. Maybe this is quality over quantity. Like spend a little bit more money, and then it’ll work a little bit better.” That was my thought process.
So I waited for a good deal. I always get these products—any Ninja product—when it’s on a good sale. I don’t pay full price for any of them because they are pretty pricey. But let me tell you, five years and I haven’t had to buy another one. I mean, I would have spent three times what I spent on this if I were buying a new one each year of a different brand.
So when I was looking for coffee makers, here’s what was super important to me. Of course, I wanted to be able to just make a single cup of coffee or a carafe of coffee. I also wanted to have a water reservoir because I didn’t want to have to fill it up every single time. I know that’s like not that big of a deal, but this really makes a big difference. And something else that I wanted was I didn’t want my tea to taste like coffee. And so what this has is it actually has two different spouts where water comes out. So water comes out for the coffee through the coffee portion, and for the tea there’s a whole different water pipe for it. So you just get plain water if you want boiling water, and there’s no coffee flavor, which is awesome.
Now, starting on this side, here’s where the water reservoir is. This just comes off super simply, and then we can fill it up. We use our fridge filtered water to fill it. This can actually go on the back. Now, I haven’t moved it in years, so I don’t even know if I remember how. Okay, I don’t remember how, but you could move it to the back to have the reservoir on the back here, and then it just hangs on nicely, but I don’t remember how to move that, and we don’t need to move it, so that is fine.
Now, over on this side, we have a few fun extra features as well. We have, of course, the knob to switch from the coffee to just the water. That way you can tell it which spout to have the water come out of, which we use every single day. And then it also comes with a scoop so you know how much to scoop in your coffee. It says three to five for a small carafe, four to seven for a full carafe. Or the other side, it even shows two to three scoops for a small cup or three to five for like a tall single cup. So that is awesome. You know exactly how much coffee to use.
And something that I used a lot when we first got this is a frother. So you can froth your milk, pour it on top of your latte, all in here. Now, this just comes off really easily. You could go wash this part. I did end up just investing in a little handheld frother though because it’s just convenient over here. I don’t have to like use the coffee maker, but it does work really well.
Now, we also have this part up here, which is where you put your K-Cup in. So if you’re going to be using a K-Cup, you can just lift this up, put your K-Cup right in here. It’s got a spot for it. It does not accept a lot of the reusable K-Cups. So those don’t fit, but regular ones do. Or you could push this back and lift it up, and then there’s this part where you could just put a filter with full coffee in. And of course, this just comes up as well for easy cleaning, and then you could clean the whole thing.
Now, when you’re using a coffee filter and just making a whole carafe, you can pull this back part forward here. This also lifts up, and then you could take this part out to clean it. Now down here is where you put your carafe, or you could put a tall cup, or you could put this down and put a regular style coffee cup on it. And then also we have this off switch to turn off the coffee so that the coffee doesn’t continually drip down. We actually don’t use that. We just let it drip down and then clean it up.
So I just got this plugged in, and I want to talk about the features. We have it turned off right now. It’s saying it’s 12:00 AM because I unplugged it and that reset the time. We could set the time. I don’t think it’s that important. Here’s our power button. This is fully touchscreen. We’re currently set on the coffee side because of this part back here, and we are set to brew 11 ounces on the rich setting.
So we could brew on the coffee setting. This is coffee setting for a K-Cup because we have the K-Cup part in here. We could do anywhere from 6 ounces on up to 11 ounces, and then we could have different brew styles. So over here we’ve got classic, we’ve got rich, we’ve got over ice, and we’ve got specialty. Specialty only does like 4 ounces because that is trying to make more of like an espresso style, really rich coffee.
Now, we could also take this carafe out, put a carafe down here, and we could do any of these styles again: classic, rich, over ice, or specialty. And we can brew anywhere from 8 ounces all the way through 46 ounces. It’ll also keep it warm as long as it’s on this hot plate down here.
On a typical coffee maker, that would be it for the settings, but this one has additional settings for water. So over here shows the different water settings, which this is what really sold me on it. We have boil and we have hot. My husband likes to use boil. I like to use hot. Boil is too hot for me. Now, it can dispense anywhere from 4 to 60 ounces of hot water for you, which is great if you’re wanting to just boil water really quickly for any reason.
The way I use this most often is I put it to 28 ounces and I use it to make tea inside of a quart Mason jar, and then I put that tea into the fridge to cool after it’s cooled off on its own. So those are all of the settings that it has. We use all of them. The one that we use the least is anything with a carafe, but we do use that when we clean it out.
Now, to be honest, we didn’t even clean out the insides of it for the first three or four years because we just forgot about that part. So we eventually realized it and cleaned it out, but it still worked great. You can just get those like fizzy tablets, and there’s directions on them for how to use them. But we do that now every couple months, and this thing still works great. It still dispenses the correct amount, and it’s just super helpful.
So here are my favorite ways to use this. Of course, to show you my favorite ways, I wanted to put it where we usually keep it. One of my favorite things to do is come over to my coffee station, pick whatever syrup, and then I could just set my cup there. Sure, I’m on the brew setting, and I can make myself a K-Cup. I also really enjoy using hot water to make my tea in the mornings, and it’s just super convenient.
But as I’m filming this, it is summertime, and so here’s one of my favorite things to do. I like to get one of these family-size iced tea bags and put it into a quart jar, and then I take a few scoops of Sweet’N Low, and I like to make a sugar-free iced tea. And so I just set this here, and then I want to put it on hot. And then this fits 28 ounces. I know a quart is 32 ounces, but 28 ounces gets us right to this line, including the bag being in there.
So to start this, all you do is push the button in, and then it’ll beep. And actually, I’m going to need to refill that water, so let’s do that. Something that I didn’t mention before is that the water container says how full you need it for each type of thing that you’re making. So for just a cup, for a travel-size mug, half a carafe, three-quarters of a carafe, and a full carafe. So I’m going to put that on there, and then we will restart that.
Now, as it runs, you’ll be able to see how close it is to being done running by the status bar that is around the start button. And then also when it’s done, it beeps so that you know.
Okay, so our tea has finished brewing. I’m going to let it sit here for a little while until it cools down enough for me to grab it, and then I usually just like set it on the hot pad. And the reason I don’t leave it here is because I’ll forget about it. So I usually put it on my main counter, and then I’ll just go through and mix in all that sweetener and take out the tea bag.
And then here’s how I like to finish that off. I just have these like stick-on lids and then a straw, and I just stick it in the fridge just like this, and I have iced tea.
There you have it. That is my honest opinion of the Ninja DualBrew Pro Coffee Maker. I honestly love this thing. We use it multiple times a day. My husband uses it a lot. I use it a lot, and it has been honestly the best coffee maker we’ve ever had. So I definitely recommend that you check it out. I’ll leave a link to it down below. It is an affiliate link through Amazon. I’m an Amazon affiliate, but I am not affiliated with Ninja in any way.
So if you’re interested in checking out other Ninja products, I have four others that I absolutely love. I will actually link all four of them so that you could see any of them that you want.
