Happy early Valentine’s day everyone!  I recently made this sugar scrub and I love it.  It’s very inexpensive and can make a great gift.

Ingredients

Sugar (any kind – I used granulated sugar.)
Oil (any kind – I used coconut oil)
Extract or essential oil (I used vanilla extract)
Coloring if desired (I used one drop of pink food coloring)

directions

Put some sugar into a small bowl (about 1/4 to 1/2 cup).  Slowly add oil and mix.  If your oil is a solid, melt it in the microwave or stove before adding it into the sugar.  Keep adding oil until the mixture is a liquid but still has granules.  If your sugar dissolves, add more.  The granules are what make it a scrub.

Once you have the right consistency, add your desired scents and coloring.

Next time I make this I’m going to use an oil that is always a liquid because my scrub hardens after each use and I need to melt it a bit before using it each time.  If I had an oil that did not turn to solid when cool, I wouldn’t need to melt the oil each time.

Spread the love
